TED in a shed shows the power of open source education resources

I just spent a very wet weekend in Wales at the Green Man Festival, totally offline as I couldn't get any data signal for my phone. One of the nice things there was the science park, which featured a small cinema in a shed which only seated a couple of people, and which was showing TED talks. I thought it was a lovely example of how open source education resources could reach the places that Orange 3G couldn't...

Nice! We were planning on going to Green Man this year, but couldn't make it in the end and had to re-sell our tickets... :-(
Sounds like it was pretty wet - but how were the bands?
It was horrifically wet. John Grant, Efterklang and Flaming Lips were highlights for me. There was a lot of stuff that was technically flawless but didn't wow me - maybe I'm just harder to impress in my old age. Our daughter liked it though - she has just learned to clap so was enjoying clapping along with everybody else in the crowd...
