No post on currybetdotnet today as I've been blogging over on Inside Guardian about search log analytics instead: "We see over 100,000 searches on the guardian.co.uk website every day, and nearly twenty thousand of them will be unique queries. They represent one person, asking one question, on just the one occasion".

From a UK perspective, the biggest issue was that the outage happened at the same time as PMQs, leaving people who cover it solely via Twitter stranded.

Maybe I missed the point of this last night, but it seemed to be the equivalent of saying in the 1920s that because the most popular news stories weren't about typesetting, there was no point using the typewriter?

In other news, I walk past two physical news-stands every morning on the commute to work, and I take in the headlines without buying a copy...

Beyond nerdy. I like the fact that the opening shot features an unstraightened mid-90s BBC logo DOG on the footage, and that the comment space is about to erupt with "Yeah but no but yeah but no but if you encode it with x terraMalcolms and reverse the polarity of the neutron flow, the picture will be better..."
