Evening Standard fails African Cup Of Nations geography test
by Martin Belam, 5 January 2010
I'm not an expert on African geography, but even I know that if Angola is hosting the African Cup of Nations, it is unlikely that the final will take place in Accra. Not so the Evening Standard, which yesterday published a handy little guide to the dates and venues of the 2008 edition in Ghana.
You can get some slightly more accurate sporting dates - including the fact that the African Cup Of Nations actually starts on January 10th - from The Guardian's public shared calendar of 2010's major sporting events. It is a great little idea, and unlike a printed supplement, it can be dynamically updated during the year. Enjoy!
