The EuroIA 2009 call for participation is open, and the deadline is May 17th. I can't make it this year, which is a real shame as the theme, "Beyond Structure" really appeals to me, particularly given my current trains of thought...

Fleet Street Blues points to a wedge of published corrections in the paper and suggests "Phew. Something tells us they won't be trying that again in a hurry". I'm not sure whether they mean we'll stop trying to publish lots of facts, or whether we'll stop being the newspaper with by far the most prominent corrections and clarifications section online and offline... ;-)

"So far all the maps have been produced using Microsoft Virtual Earth and many readers assumed that the BBC was responsible for the maps themselves not just the editorial content placed on top of them - which was a tiny bit unfortunate when some of those who saw the G20 map pointed out that 'Waterloo Strain Station' (see image below) isn't really that bad a place...".
