"The Central Board of Jewish Communities in Greece issued a press release that expresses 'its disappointment and amazement at the decision of the Athens Court of Appeals in acquitting the modern-day advocate of Nazism in Greece, K. Plevris, against whom an ex-officio prosecution was brought on the basis of anti-racist Law 927/79. This decision saddens, perplexes and causes concern among citizens of a modern democratic society as a self-confessed advocate of Nazism and racism remains unpunished'". More blatantly racist nonsense in Greece goes unpunished by the legal system.

Apparently this ad format test is live in the UK. As is the special new Gmail "inbox"

"It is astonishing in this context that, instead of criticising the News of the World or even warning those involved as to their future conduct (both the editor and journalist concerned remain in their roles), the chairman of the PCC reserves his scorn for Mosley. Meyer's approach does nothing to relieve the perception that anyone seeking redress from a national newspaper is wasting his or her time by going to the PCC."

"You cannot dress up your own dross or anybody else's and pretend that it is anything other than dross. No amount of multimedia, polls or hourly video news updates will disguise that your two untrained reporters are shovelling out press releases. As in print, so on the web: you cannot make shit shine".

"If you look on our Barack and Michelle Obama and G20 topic pages you'll see a scrolling stream of remarks and links from thousands of different people". Interesting (and brave) integration of Twitter and editorial. Not completely convinced it works as a usable component on the page mind you. It seems to load 15, but 10 disappear with no way to scroll back to them if they caught my eye.

"A record company mix-up at the end of last week meant that pre-order sales for iTunes were not included in calculating this week's chart". To add to the previously announced 'Oops, the booklets were printed all wrong'. Nice going, Mr Record Company.

"After a few months of having talked about it with you now (see the bottom of this post for more), we’re finally able to give you some details about the changes which will take place here on the Points of View boards as the new series of the programme starts on BBC One on 5th April."
And if you do have one of those Pet Shop Boys misprints, it will reject your submission for a replacement if your address doesn't have the right number of lines.
Why do the words Pissup and Brewery spring to mind?
Martin, have you come across the utterly wonderful responses to the new Radio 4 website?
My particular favourite is the various commenters complaining that the listen live button has been removed, despite it being in bright pink right at the top of the page :)
